What's New in this Release

  • Configurable User Roles - SecureCircle now supports creating custom User Roles, allowing for more granular control how users are able to interact and share protected data.
  • macOS and Windows Agents - The SecureCircle Agent can be configured to communicate over proxy.
  • SIEM/Syslog - All files that have been protected and unprotected using SecureCircle Agents will be reported via syslog.
  • Improved Application/Process Detection - SecureCircle Agents have been optimized to report applications and their signatures more precisely.
  • Server Optimizations and Bug Fixes - General server API enhancements, optimizations and fixes.
  • Agent Optimizations and Bug Fixes - Refactoring of critical components to provide a better optimized Agent, MagicDerivative logic improvements, and bug fixes.

SecureCircle Server

New Features and Improvements

  • Server UI and Sharing Portal Language Additions - SecureCircle Server supports additional languages: Traditional Chinese and Japanese
  • Login Page - Footer displays the version of the SecureCircle Server in use
  • Syslog token - Added optional token field for SIEM integration. This field is required by some SIEM tools such as Sumologic.
  • User Roles - Out of the box user roles have been modified. Read more here. Operator role has been added. Custom user roles can be created from the server on the Configuration → User Roles page

Changes and Bug Fixes

  • SecureSend - Enabling SecureSend on your server will allow secure sharing of unprotected files (as configured via policy) and any files that the end-user(s) have the permission to “Remove File from Circle”, as defined via User Roles.
  • Login Page - Footer displays the version of the SecureCircle Server in use
  • Circle Management Removed ("Files" page under "Circles > yourCircle") - The Files page provided a list of unique hashes of file(s) at the time they were first protected. Since data changes often, presenting the hash does not represent actual data within the file at the current time.
  • SIEM - Improved Application/Process Detection also resolved an issue where SecureCircle would report redundant process events to the SIEM.
