The SecureCircle Agent can be configured to communicate over proxy at the installation or if you already have it installed.

Proxy Setup at the installation:
## Windows

contributor.test+Test.e89aeb8e36ec11b1.exe /proxy=user:pass@1.2.3.4:8080

Note: /S switch will perform a silent installation (for a silent deployment)

macOS

To configure proxy at install time, create a file .fhinstall.ini in user home directory with proxy info in the attached format

[proxy]
;Proxy server host name or IP address. Can also be empty in case of no proxy support needed.
host = 1.2.3.4

;Proxy server TCP port. Can also be empty in case of no proxy support needed.
port = 8080

;Proxy server username.
username = user

;Proxy server password.
password = pass

; string to disable proxy bypassing.
nonProxyHosts =

Configuring proxy on a system that has the SecureCircle Agent installed

  • Use command prompt with administrator privileges and run this command
fhtools --proxy=user:pass@1.2.3.4:8080

Note: This command will change proxy settings for fhagent, resulting in the very next connection to the server to be routed through the proxy

  • To perform "fhtools" Command Line operations, without changing a proxy setting for SecireCircle Agent
fhtools --supportedCommand --proxy=user:pass@1.2.3.4:8080

Note: This will force fhtools to use proxy on the desired command. It will not set proxy settings on the SecureCircle Agent.

  • To reset proxy settings, the following can be used
fhtools --proxy=””

Note: This command will delete proxy settings for fhagent, resulting in the very next connection to the server to be routed directly to the server
